Or how about you put the fucking phone down for a second and look where you’re going. I’m sorry, but this irks me…why do you HAVE to text? Our acceptance of texting in lieu of social interaction is making everyone think they can find social intimacy through it and replace the real thing all together. All the perks of companionship without the demands of friendship. I know that’s not what this post is about, but I never have to text so badly that I’d give up the practical use of the camera on my phone just so I can avoid making eye contact with strangers and making my friends wait a few extra minutes for my response. Really, if it was that much of an emergency that you just HAD to text on the way, why are you walking and texting instead of calling and finding a way to drive there?
